Gordon and Alex from the Malton team were delighted to be back in the Middle East last month for the latest edition of World Travel Catering Expo in the region. This marked our first time exhibiting at the event, the latest spin-off in the WTCE portfolio of shows and events hosted by the team at Reed Expo.
According to IATA, the Middle East's airlines are expected to carry 400 million passengers on their scheduled services by 2020, up from 144 million in 2012.
With such terrific expectations for growth over the next few years it has proved so important to have a show dedicated to passenger comfort & experience. Co-located with the well established Airport Show, and Global Airport Leader's Forum, the annual event creates a one-stop shop for airline professionals to explore all their buying needs.
Feedback has been highly positive according to Alex too; "We've been lucky enough to meet with a really diverse range of people who perhaps wouldn't usually visit the shows in the States or Europe. In addition to welcoming industry members from all over the Middle East we've also seen faces from as far afield as India, the Philippines and parts of South America, a really great chance for us to expand our network and enhance our brand profile."
All in all another great show put on by the guys, good work on the stand and we look forward to seeing the next effort in California!
